We are partnering with a multi-billion-pound international industrial organisation to appoint an experienced Interim FP&A Lead for an initial six-month assignment.
Operating within a complex, global environment, the business is seeking a commercially minded finance leader who can bring clarity, consistency and insight to a diverse reporting landscape.
This is a high-profile role that will support senior leadership in improving visibility of performance, driving operational efficiency, and enhancing commercial decision-making.
The Opportunity
The organisation currently operates across multiple entities, regions and currencies, with reporting processes that have developed in silos. The successful candidate will be responsible for consolidating and enhancing management information, creating a clearer and more actionable view of business performance across the group.
Working closely with finance and operational stakeholders, you will establish robust reporting frameworks, improve insight generation, and support strategic initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Consolidate reporting across multiple business units, entities and geographies.
- Develop clear and consistent management reporting and performance dashboards.
- Improve visibility of key operational and commercial metrics.
- Analyse business performance and identify opportunities for efficiency gains and margin improvement.
- Partner with senior finance and operational leaders to provide actionable commercial insights.
- Drive improvements in forecasting, budgeting and financial planning processes.
- Review existing reporting structures and implement best-practice FP&A processes.
- Support strategic decision-making through robust financial analysis and scenario modelling.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience operating as an FP&A Lead, Head of FP&A, Finance Director or equivalent within a large, complex organisation.
- Strong multi-entity and multi-currency experience within international businesses.
- Background within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, logistics or similarly complex operational environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrable experience of transforming reporting, improving management information and creating meaningful business insight.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at executive level.
- Hands-on, delivery-focused approach with the ability to quickly assess issues and implement practical solutions.
- Advanced financial modelling, planning and analytical capabilities.
