A leading, well-established organisation is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to broaden their experience across financial reporting, controls, business partnering, and finance projects.

You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, supporting month-end activities, and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the month-end close process, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and strengthen financial controls.
  • Assist with group reporting and statutory accounts preparation.
  • Manage and reconcile fixed assets, depreciation, and CAPEX reporting.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial analysis and insight.
  • Support finance transformation projects and process improvements.
  • Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards and control frameworks.
  • Prepare audit schedules and support external audit requirements.

About You

  • Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Degree educated in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting and UK GAAP.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence using finance systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to build relationships and communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and keen to drive improvements.

Desirable

  • Fixed asset accounting experience.
  • Experience using Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems.
