Employee Relations Business Partner | Solihull - Hybrid | 10 months FTC | Salary: Up to £50K plus benefits
Are you an experienced Employee Relations professional looking to play a key role in a major transformation programme?
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading international organisation for an Employee Relations Business Partner to join their UK Employee Relations team on a 10-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile change projects, supporting the UK business through complex employee relations activity while partnering with an experienced Centre of Excellence. This role has been created as part of a wider transformation, allowing HR Business Partners to focus on strategic partnering while you take ownership of end-to-end Employee Relations activity across change programmes.
The Role
Working closely with the UK Employee Relations team and project stakeholders, you'll manage a varied portfolio of change-related Employee Relations activity, ensuring processes are delivered compliantly, professionally and with empathy.
You'll be responsible for managing cases from start to finish, including:
- Leading individual and collective consultation processes
- Preparing consultation documentation, letters and supporting materials
- Managing nomination and consultation processes in line with current UK legislation
- Advising and coaching line managers throughout the process
- Supporting and attending consultation meetings, including note-taking where required
- Managing exit settlement agreements
- Ensuring accurate reporting and manual system updates
- Working collaboratively with project teams to deliver transformation initiatives across the UK
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical Employee Relations expertise with excellent interpersonal skills alongside a minimum of CIPD Level 5 or similar.
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience managing complex Employee Relations cases end-to-end
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, particularly around organisational change, restructures and collective consultation
- Experience supporting transformation or change management projects
- The confidence to challenge and coach managers while providing practical, commercial advice
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage high volumes of documentation accurately
- A compassionate, people-first approach, with excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive and emotive situations professionally
- A structured and process-driven mindset, whilst remaining adaptable in a fast-paced environment
