Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Specialist - Immediate

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with experience in both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable? Our client, a leading organisation in the automotive sector, is seeking a skilled individual to join their finance team in a dual-capacity role that supports vehicle billing, dealer payments, and parts invoicing.
About the Role
This is a pivotal role that combines Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) responsibilities, with a strong focus on accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Match purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
- Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain supplier records and account details.
- Respond to supplier queries professionally.
- Monitor payment terms and identify opportunities for early payment discounts.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
Accounts Receivable
- Raise and issue customer invoices.
- Allocate customer receipts to accounts.
- Monitor outstanding debtor balances.
- Chase overdue payments by telephone and email.
- Resolve customer invoice queries promptly.
- Reconcile customer accounts.
- Prepare aged debtor reports.
- Assist with credit control procedures and new customer account setup.
General Accounting Support:
- Assist with broader accounting and administrative duties as required.
About You
- Proven experience in AR/AP roles,
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Confident communicator with internal teams and external partners.
- Proficient in finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
