Senior Legal Counsel - Construction
Joining a hugely innovative, dynamic legal function with this high profile UK business, you will tasked with leading on all construction matters in this business critical role.
Working alongside commercial lawyers and other specialists, you will
- Lead on a brad range of work including negotiating and advising on construction agreements
- Provide advice on litigation matters
- Update and roll-out key construction legal updates and documents
- Run training programmes across the stakeholder community
- Instruct and manage external lawyers
- Work with the exec team driving key strategic and complex projects.
- Have a flexible approach and an appetite to gain exposure to wider commercial matters
Ideally we are looking for a commercially focused, pragmatic construction lawyer with either a non-contentious or a mixed contentious/non-contentious background gained either in-house or in practice. Ideally 5/6+ year PQE with a flexible approach to problem-solving and commercial in outlook.
You will be able to get to the Midlands HQ (West/East Mids) 1-2 times a week, with the opportunity to work from another office in their national network across the UK if more convenient. There is genuine flexibility and a grown up approach.
Salary c.75-90k plus bonus, excellent pension, enhanced benefits and a genuine team culture
