Sales Ledger - Tamworth (Office-Based)
This is a newly created position within a well-established car dealership in Tamworth, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the sales ledger process. You'll be working as part of a small finance team, responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer accounts, allocating payments, raising invoices, and dealing with customer queries.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous sales ledger or accounts receivable experience who enjoys a busy, people-focused role. The team are friendly and collaborative, and the business is growing steadily. Ideally, you'll have experience in a similar role and be confident managing your own workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raising and issuing sales invoices
- Allocating incoming payments
- Reconciling customer accounts
- Investigating and resolving invoice or payment queries
- Liaising with customers regarding outstanding balances
- Producing aged debt reports for management
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties
- Maintaining accurate records across internal systems
Candidate Attributes and Skills:
- Previous experience in a sales ledger or accounts receivable role
- Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable using Excel and finance systems
