Job Title: Programme Director - SAP S/4HANA Transformation

Contract: Day Rate up to £1000 per day Outside IR35 for up to 18 months
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Programme Director to lead a high-profile SAP transformation programme. This organisation has recently restructured, adopting a product operating model and establishing a SAP Centre of Excellence. The priority now is to modernise their SAP environment, migrating from ECC6 to S/4HANA, and delivering a sustainable operating model.
This is a hands-on leadership role with high visibility, requiring strategic thinking, technical expertise, and strong stakeholder management at C-suite and Board level.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end SAP S/4HANA transformation programme
- Define governance and establish robust programme controls
- Manage technical streams: Solutions Architects, SAP Developers, SAP Integration
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders and partners
- Drive adoption of new operating models and ways of working
- Oversee third-party suppliers and vendor delivery
- Ensure programme risks are identified, managed, and mitigated
Key Requirements
- Proven experience leading SAP S/4HANA transformations
- Higher Education experience or public sector experience is essential
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills at executive and partner level
- Experience with SAP Centres of Excellence or product operating models
- Knowledge of ECC6 to S/4HANA migration and SAP modernisation
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and third-party suppliers
