Residential Development Associate / Senior Associate

3+ PQE | Birmingham / East Midlands | Hybrid

I'm working with an established UK law firm that is investing significantly in the continued growth of its Residential Development practice, following a number of key Partner and senior hires.

The team is continuing to secure new client relationships and exciting work, and they're now looking for an experienced Residential Development lawyer (3+ PQE) to join them at an important stage of that growth.

This is a genuine opportunity to work on high-quality strategic land and development matters, with exposure to new and existing clients across the sector.

The work

The team acts for a broad range of housebuilders, landowners and land promoters, advising across the development lifecycle, including:

  • Strategic land and promotion agreements
  • Option agreements and conditional contracts
  • Residential development and site acquisitions
  • Development disposals
  • Large-scale residential schemes
  • Land assembly, collaboration and overage arrangements

There is strong variety in the work, with the opportunity to take ownership of matters, work closely with experienced Partners and build meaningful client relationships.

Why consider it?

  • Significant recent investment into the Residential Development practice
  • New client wins and a strong pipeline of work
  • Exposure to complex strategic land and development transactions
  • Opportunity to work closely with experienced Partners and senior lawyers
  • Scope to develop your client relationships and profile
  • Genuine flexibility, with around 2 days per week in the office
  • Birmingham, Leicester or Milton Keynes locations available

Who are they looking for?

I'm keen to speak with Residential Development lawyers around 3+ PQE with experience in areas such as housebuilder acquisitions, strategic land, promotion/option agreements and development transactions.

You don't need to have experience across everything listed - a strong residential development background and the ambition to take on more complex work is what matters.

If you're considering your next move and would like to hear more about the team, work and opportunity, feel free to message me for a confidential conversation.
