Regional Transport Operations Manager

Location: Pershore, Worcestershire (with regular travel to the South Coast site)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
CPC Qualification Required

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Regional Transport Operations Manager to oversee operations across two key sites, including the head office in Pershore and an additional location on the South Coast. This role is ideal for a strong leader with a deep understanding of transport compliance, people management, and operational excellence within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Provide day-to-day operational oversight of regional transport activities across both sites.
  • Ensure efficient planning, scheduling, and execution of transport operations.
  • Drive performance improvements, cost efficiencies, and service excellence.

Compliance & Governance

  • Maintain full compliance with transport legislation and industry standards.
  • Ensure adherence to O-licence requirements, health & safety policies, and environmental regulations.
  • Use your CPC qualification to advise on best practices and uphold operational safety and compliance across all locations.

People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop transport teams across both sites.
  • Support recruitment, training, and ongoing performance management.
  • Foster a positive culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with senior leadership, operational teams, and site managers to ensure seamless regional coordination.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to maintain high service standards.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to optimise processes, fleet utilisation, and operational efficiency.
  • Implement initiatives that enhance service delivery and reduce operational risk.

Requirements

  • CPC qualification (essential).
  • Proven experience in transport or logistics operations management, ideally across multiple sites.
  • Strong understanding of UK transport legislation and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly between regional sites (company vehicle or allowance provided).
  • Experience working in a fast-moving logistics or transport environment.
