Opportunity for an experienced QSHE Manager to join a specialist Building Management Systems (BMS) contractor based in Northampton. The organisation provide design, installation & maintenance of BMS systems for a wide range of public & private sector clients.
This is a key role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can influence a strong QHSE culture across all areas of the business.
This is a hybrid/home working role with weekly travel required to their Northampton HQ.
Key Responsibilities
The QSHE Manager will lead the development, implementation and continual improvement of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems across both office and field operations.
- Develop and implement Quality standards, systems, policies and procedures.
- Maintain and continually improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Manage QHSE initiatives, emergency procedures, and business-wide compliance.
- Maintain and control all Quality documentation and records.
- Schedule and lead internal/external audits (ISO 9001 etc.) and manage follow-up actions.
- Deliver training across all levels.
- Health, Safety & Environment
- Implement corporate HSE policies and develop local procedures (including HSE manuals).
- Conduct internal audits, represent the company during external audits, and manage inspection records.
- Carry out regular site inspections (offices, project sites, maintenance areas).
- Manage and report Safety KPIs.
- Build and maintain relationships with external safety partners and regulatory bodies.
- Review incidents, near misses and support investigations and corrective actions.
- Support proposals and tenders with HSE documentation.
Person Specification
- 3-5 years of QHSE management experience.
- Relevant post‑secondary qualification in Quality, HSE, or related discipline.
- Experience managing QHSE in both office and field environments.
- Knowledge of ISO, COR and related audit frameworks (ISO 9001, 14001 etc.).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Skilled at influencing employees, contractors and management.
- Positive leadership style with a strong QHSE mindset.
Salary / Package
- £45,000 - 50,000 salary
