We are excited to be supporting a growing business in Solihull with the recruitment of an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company experiencing real growth, where your contribution will be key in shaping the way the team develops going forward.

The role is being recruited on a temporary-to-permanent basis to allow both the business and the successful candidate to confirm the structure of the position. Initially, you will provide support to the existing team of two, before gradually taking on your own share of the workload over the first three months. Once responsibilities have been evenly divided, the role will be made permanent. This position is ideal for someone who is immediately available or on a very short notice period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing high-volume supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Investigating and resolving invoice and supplier queries.
  • Reconciling supplier statements to ensure accounts are up to date.
  • Setting up new suppliers on the system in line with compliance requirements.
  • Assisting with the preparation of payment runs.
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc accounts payable tasks.
  • Taking ownership of your own portion of the ledger once responsibilities are shared.

Candidate Attributes and Skills:

  • Previous accounts payable experience, ideally within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing.
  • Confident Excel skills and overall strong computer literacy.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Immediately available or available on a short notice period.
