Professional Indemnity Insurance Specialist | Birmingham - Hybrid | Full Time, Permanent | circa £38,000 plus strong benefits
Gleeson Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Professional Indemnity Insurance Specialist to join a leading professional regulatory organisation in a high-profile role within its Standards and Regulation function. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong PII background who wants to take their technical insurance expertise into a more strategic, risk-focused and regulatory position. Working closely with internal teams, senior stakeholders and the wider insurance market, you'll play a key role in overseeing PII requirements, assessing complex risks and ensuring appropriate regulatory standards are maintained.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing complex PII dispensations, including detailed risk assessments and approval recommendations.
- Assessing applications for exceptions to standard insurance requirements and making informed regulatory decisions.
- Monitoring allocated risk pools and ensuring appropriate controls are in place.
- Building strong relationships with insurers, internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Contributing to changes in PII rules, policies and regulatory standards.
- Acting as the internal subject matter expert on all PII matters, providing advice, guidance and training.
- Leading meetings, influencing senior stakeholders and identifying opportunities to improve processes.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience within the insurance industry, specifically Professional Indemnity Insurance.
- Strong understanding of UK and international PII requirements and regulatory standards.
- Experience assessing complex risks and making considered decisions.
- Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and present to senior audiences.
- Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience within a regulatory or professional standards environment would be advantageous.
