Location: Warwick | Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 | Employment Type: Permanent / Full Time
The Company
Our client is a well-established business based in Warwick and is seeking a Payroll Officer to join their busy finance team.
The Role
As a Payroll Officer, you will manage a portfolio of clients, delivering accurate and timely payroll services. This is a varied role, providing the opportunity to work with both UK and international businesses while maintaining excellent client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage payrolls for a portfolio of clients (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly), including bonuses, commissions, pensions, SMP, SSP, and share option schemes.
Register clients for PAYE and liaise with HMRC on submissions and queries.
Produce P45s, P60s, P11Ds, and handle year-end reporting.
Set up payrolls for new clients, ensuring processes meet their requirements.
Manage pension contributions and PAYE Settlement Agreements.
Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing clear guidance and support.
Ensure payrolls are delivered on time and in line with agreed service levels.
The Candidate:
We are looking for a detail-oriented, organised professional confident in managing client relationships. You should be able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Skills & Experience:
Strong understanding of UK payroll processes and legislation.
Knowledge of pensions, benefits in kind, salary sacrifice, and PSA.
Proficiency in MS Excel, HMRC and pension portals, and payroll software.
Previous experience in a payroll bureau or with international clients.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
