Deal Origination Executive (High‑Energy B2B Focus)
Salary: Up to £42,000 + bonus
Location: Birmingham South East/South West
About the Role
We're looking for a driven, energetic, commercially minded individual who loves building relationships, opening doors, and creating opportunities. This is a front‑footed origination role where you'll be speaking directly with founders, investors, and senior decision‑makers in the software and technology sector, building relationships with advisors and expanding your network.

What You'll Be Doing
Pipeline Generation & Outreach
- Proactively identify and approach potential acquisition targets and strategic partners
- Build and manage a high‑quality pipeline of opportunities
- Reach out to founders, CEOs, investors, and advisors to spark conversations
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums
Relationship‑Building
- Hold initial qualification calls with prospects
- Build rapport with senior stakeholders across the tech ecosystem
- Coordinate meetings between prospects and the Head of M&A
- Maintain accurate CRM records and track all origination activity
Market & Deal Intelligence
- Research the software landscape to spot trends and emerging opportunities
- Monitor competitor activity and deal flow
- Produce short market briefs, target lists, and opportunity summaries
What We're Looking For
Essential
- 1-3 years in B2B sales, business development, corporate finance, VC, or similar
- Confident communicator who enjoys speaking with founders and senior leaders
- Strong research and commercial instincts
- Highly organised with a proactive, self‑starting mindset
- Comfortable managing multiple conversations and opportunities at once
Desirable
- Experience originating in a deal enviroment or investment‑related markets
- Existing network of founders, investors, or advisors
