Operations Supervisor - Redditch
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 * Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Reports to: Operations Manager
We're looking for a hands-on Operations Supervisor to lead daily warehouse activities and ensure high performance across inbound, outbound, and inventory operations. You'll be the key decision‑maker on the warehouse floor, driving productivity, quality, safety, and team engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily warehouse operations: goods-in, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Run daily briefings, allocate tasks, and adjust labour to meet targets and cut-off times.
- Supervise and develop operational teams, including scheduling, coaching, and first-line absence management.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality checks, stock integrity, and problem resolution.
- Enforce Health & Safety standards, conduct safety walks, and ensure training compliance.
- Monitor KPIs (productivity, accuracy, OTIF) and report daily performance.
- Support continuous improvement, SOP development, and WMS accuracy.
Requirements
Essential:
- 3+ years' warehouse supervisory/team leader experience
- Strong operational knowledge (goods-in, picking, packing, dispatch)
- Experience using WMS and basic Excel skills
- Strong leadership, attention to detail, and H&S awareness
- Reliable, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
- Start-up warehouse experience
- MHE licences (counterbalance/reach)
- Experience with bulky goods/homeware
- IOSH Managing Safely or similar
