Operations Director
North West | £100,000 + £10,000 Car Allowance + Bonus
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Director to join a growing logistics business in the North West.
This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for driving operational performance across warehousing, transport, distribution, customer service, and supply chain functions. Working as part of the leadership team, you will develop and execute operational strategy, lead large teams, and ensure the business continues to deliver exceptional service whilst supporting future growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day and strategic operation of a multi-site logistics network.
- Drive service, productivity, cost, and customer performance across the operation.
- Develop and implement operational improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Lead and develop senior management teams, creating a high-performance culture.
- Manage operational budgets and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transport, warehousing, and health & safety regulations.
- Work closely with commercial and leadership teams to support growth and customer retention.
- Deliver against key operational KPIs including OTIF, productivity, utilisation, service, and safety.
About You
- Proven experience in a senior operations leadership role within logistics, supply chain, distribution, retail, FMCG, or a 3PL environment.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing large operational budgets.
- Demonstrable success leading large teams across warehousing and transport operations.
- Track record of delivering operational improvement, change, and business growth.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
- Passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.
