Job Title: Material Planner
Salary : £30,000 - £40,000
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain material plans to meet production demands while ensuring optimal inventory levels.
- Use ERP/MRP systems to track and manage inventory and material availability.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely material delivery and address any supply chain disruptions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date planning data, including lead times, safety stock levels, and order quantities.
- Collaborate closely with production and procurement teams to align material supply with production schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance and escalate any concerns or delays to relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to supply chain process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in material planning, production planning, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
- Solid working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- A proactive, collaborative, and team-focused approach.
