Management Accountant
Location: Halesowen
Salary: £32,000-£35,500
A valued client of ours here at Gleeson, and a leading organisation is looking for an experienced and proactive Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to play a key role in driving commercial performance and providing insightful business support.
The Role
As a Management Accountant, you will work closely with stakeholders across the business, providing financial insight, commercial support, and performance analysis. Through effective business partnering, you will help improve service levels, cost efficiency, and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with key financial and non-financial stakeholders to support operational and commercial decision making.
Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis to guide business unit performance.
Manage financial risks and opportunities arising from contracts and balance sheet maintenance.
Prepare and review key business reports, including month-end reporting, client reports, budgets, cash analysis, and ad-hoc reporting.
Support operational teams in understanding and acting on financial reporting.
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and business review processes.
Assist with client tenders, negotiations, and capital expenditure appraisals.
Promote effective working capital management through accurate billing, debt management, and timely query resolution.
Ensure compliance with health and safety processes within the business.
Build and maintain relationships across the organisation, supporting and mentoring junior team members.
Skills & Requirements:
Part Qualified in CIMA/ACCA/ACA with relevant accounting experience.
Experience in management accounting, including producing reports and analysis to support commercial decisions.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proven experience in business partnering with non-finance professionals.
Adaptable to changing business environments.
Ideally experience with SAP or similar reporting tools
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey financial information clearly.
Proactive, energetic, and self-motivated with strong organisational skills.
