Junior Management Accountant

Salary: £28,000 - £30,500
Are you looking to take the next step in your finance career? Our client, a leading organisation within their sector, is seeking a Junior Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant who is passionate about developing their career in management accounting and commercial finance.
The Role
The Junior Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting financial and operational decision-making across the business. You will be involved in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and providing commercial analysis to drive performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with preparation of month-end accounts, business reviews, budgets, and ad-hoc financial analysis
Supporting balance sheet reviews and highlighting key risks and opportunities
Providing proactive analysis to aid commercial decision-making
Supporting with budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis
Assisting with contract billing, debt management, and working capital improvements
Preparing financial documentation for tenders, negotiations, and capital expenditure appraisals
Partnering with operational teams to ensure effective financial support and mobilisation of new contracts
Skills & Requirements:
Studying CIMA/ACCA/ACA
Strong passion for finance and commercial awareness
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to both finance and non-finance colleagues
Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail
Good knowledge of Excel
Ideally - experience using SAP, Cognos, or similar reporting tools
Adaptability to a fast-changing environment
