Investment Manager - Growth Capital/Venture Capital
Location: Birmingham / West Midlands (regional travel required)
Salary: Competitive + bonus + carried interest

We're looking for an Investment Manager or Investment Director to join our clients Venture Capital, Growth Capital team, who invest in and support high‑potential businesses across the West Midlands. This is a rare opportunity to play a hands‑on role in deploying growth equity and early‑stage capital while making a tangible regional impact.
You'll work closely with founders, co‑investors and advisers, taking responsibility across the full investment lifecycle-from origination through to value creation and exit.
The role
This is a true end‑to‑end investment role, including:
Deal origination & execution
- Sourcing and assessing high‑growth opportunities across early‑stage, expansion and growth
- Building strong relationships with founders, intermediaries and the regional ecosystem
- Leading financial analysis, valuation, due diligence and market research
- Preparing investment papers and presenting to Investment Committee
- Supporting deal structuring and execution alongside legal advisers
Portfolio support & value creation
- Working closely with founders post‑investment to deliver growth plans
- Attending and contributing to portfolio board meetings
- Supporting strategy, KPIs, hiring, fundraising and commercial decisions
- Helping plan and execute successful exits
About you
- Experience at Manager level or Director level
- Background in growth capital, VC, growth equity, corporate finance, transaction services or investment banking
- Strong financial modelling and commercial judgement
- Confident working directly with founders, investors and senior stakeholders
- Commercially curious, relationship‑driven and comfortable in fast‑growth environments
- Passion for supporting innovative UK businesses
- Be based in the West Midlands region (commutable distance to central Birmingham)
