Interim / Fractional Product Launch Project Manager (2-3 days per week)
Rate: £450-£475 per day
Start: February
Location: Midlands (mostly remote with occasional site visits)
We are partnering with an established Midlands-based engineering business that designs and supplies professional electrical and power tool solutions for trade and industrial markets. The company works closely with overseas manufacturing partners and sells through both trade and online channels.
They are looking for a fractional / interim Product Launch Project Manager to support a series of new product launches over the next 6-7 months. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role suited to a strong operator who knows what "good" looks like when bringing technical products to market.
What you'll be doing
You will own and coordinate the end-to-end product launch process, including:
Planning out timelines, milestones, and dependencies for each launch
Building and maintaining a clear Gantt plan and keeping it on track
Proactively chasing stakeholders to ensure work is delivered on time
Managing the launch process for an online-first business, including:
Product set-up and readiness
Imagery and visual assets
Product descriptions and data
Marketing campaigns and launch collateral
Merchandising in the online store, including planograms and placement
Pricing alignment and approvals
Working closely with:
Internal teams (buying, product, operations, marketing)
An external marketing agency
A China-based manufacturing partner
Ensuring all product information is correctly managed in the PIM system
Supporting KPI tracking and reporting post-launch to assess performance and improvements
What we're looking for
You'll be a great fit if you have:
Proven experience managing new product launches, ideally in:
Technical products
Electrical products
Power tools or professional equipment
Direct experience launching products for an online business
Strong project management skills - structured, organised, and proactive
The ability to influence and coordinate multiple teams without formal authority
Experience working with overseas suppliers (ideally China)
A practical, hands-on approach - this is a "get things done" role
