Location: Birmingham (Hybrid - 4 days office-based)
Day Rate / FTC Equivalent: Competitive £650pd to £1000pd

Company Overview

My client is a growing manufacturing business, the organisation is seeking an Interim Mergers and Acquisitions Manager to provide hands-on support to the Head of Corporate Development on a transaction due to commence in Q1.

Role Summary

The Interim M&A Manager will play a central role in the execution of live M&A activity, with responsibility for financial modelling, due diligence, deal structuring, and post-transaction integration. The role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and external advisers, requiring a pragmatic, delivery-focused professional who can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial modelling and valuation of acquisition targets under tight timelines
  • Manage due diligence processes, coordinating internal teams and external advisers
  • Support deal structuring and negotiation, including SPA and offer documentation
  • Drive post-acquisition integration and delivery of identified synergies
  • Present strategic insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and shareholders
  • Contribute to wider strategic projects alongside the senior leadership team

Candidate Profile

  • Professional finance background (e.g. ACA or equivalent) with strong technical grounding
  • Prior experience in M&A, Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Corporate Development, or Private Equity
  • Strong technical knowledge of valuation principles (DCF, net debt, working capital)
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability, with excellent communication skills
  • Commercially astute, collaborative, and results-driven
  • Prior deal exposure in the industrials sector is advantageous but not essential
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment with immediate impact required
