Interim Financial Reporting Manager
6-month assignment | Derby, East Midlands | Hybrid (3 days onsite)
£400 - £450 per day | IR35 determination in process

We are delighted to be partnering with a successful and ever-growing manufacturing client in Derby to find an Interim Financial Reporting Manager to join the group finance function of this large, complex, multi-site organisation.
This is a highly visible role with responsibility for group consolidation and board-level reporting, offering regular exposure to senior leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality, timely and accurate group reporting across the business.
Key responsibilities of Interim Financial Reporting Manager:
- Ownership of monthly group consolidation and reporting for a large, complex group
- Preparation of financial reporting packs for the Board and Executive Committee
- Coordination of group forecasting and budgeting processes
- Acting as a key point of contact for divisional finance teams and group functions
- Review and challenge of divisional submissions to ensure group reporting standards are met
- Management of a small team
- Extensive use, development and enhancement of IBM Cognos
- Support on ad-hoc projects and technical accounting matters, including business transactions
About you:
- Ideally ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified, though strong QBE will be considered with the right technical experience
- Proven background in technical group reporting and consolidation within a complex organisation
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards with the ability to communicate practical impacts clearly
- Experience using consolidation tools is essential - Cognos experience highly desirable.
- Previous exposure to acquisitive businesses, taking ownership of the cashflow for M&A activity is desirable but not essential
This role would suit an experienced, technical accountant who enjoys operating in a high-profile environment and adding value quickly within a well-established group finance team.
