Interim Financial Controller (12-Month FTC)
Leicester (Hybrid - 3 days on site)
£75,000 - £85,000 + car allowance & PHI
We're partnering with a large, complex industrial business undergoing significant transformation to appoint an experienced, highly commercial Financial Controller on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a high-impact role supporting a regional leadership team across a multi-site, operationally intensive environment. You'll play a key role in strengthening financial control, driving commercial insight, and supporting strategic decision-making across the region.
This role suits someone with a proven background in senior level finance business partnering and control in large operational environments.
Key Responsibilities of the Interim Financial Controller
- Strengthen and embed a robust financial control environment across multiple sites, both UK and overseas operations
- Own and improve visibility of costs, ensuring accurate tracking and accountability across the business
- Lead on supply chain and inventory analysis, optimising material flow and reducing logistics and holding costs
- Provide commercial insight on production, sales mix, and profitability across large-scale operations
- Partner closely with senior leadership and site teams to support operational and strategic initiatives
- Contribute to ongoing transformation activity, including ERP implementation and process improvement
About You
- Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner, Financial Controller or similar within a complex, operational environment
- Strong background in supply chain, logistics, and inventory management is highly preferred
- Track record of delivering in transformation, turnaround, or change-led environments
- Commercially astute with strong analytical capability
- Confident business partner, able to influence at both senior and site level
- ERP experience (SAP highly desirable)

- Candidates must have full right to work in the UK without the need for any sponsorship.
- Candidates must be based within a reasonable commuting distance of Leicester to accommodate 3 days onsite - this is non-negotiable. Some additional travel around the UK is required.
