HR Director - FMCG/Manufacturing - National, Multi-Site Organisation
Circa £150k + Car Allowance + Benefits
I am looking for a commercially astute HR Director with extensive FMCG or manufacturing experience to join a national, multi-site, matrix organisation at a pivotal stage of growth and transformation. Reporting to the MD, you'll own and deliver a people strategy that fuels performance, strengthens culture, and builds organisational capability.
The Role
As the HR Director, you'll lead from the front, setting strategic direction while working operationally within the business.
You will:
- Lead and develop a high-performing HR team across a complex, multi-site environment
- Design and execute a forward-thinking People Strategy aligned to ambitious growth plans
- Partner the MD and leadership team as a trusted advisor
- Drive large-scale organisational change, including restructures, integrations, acquisitions, and TUPE transfers
- Build a strong talent pipeline through effective succession planning and leadership development
- Lead industrial and employee relations, maintaining constructive union partnerships
- Champion a high-performance, engaged culture across all sites
Experience
- Proven HR leadership experience in a multi-site, blue-collar FMCG or manufacturing environment
- A strong track record of delivering people strategies that drive business performance
- Deep expertise in organisational transformation
- Experience operating in unionised environments and leading through change
- Gravitas and credibility to influence and challenge at executive level
- Strength in talent development, succession planning, and building leadership capability
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach-able to balance strategy with delivery
