HR Advisor | Coventry - Hybrid Working | Up to £40,000 plus benefits | Logistics & Distribution

A fantastic business with a HQ in Coventry are seeking an experienced, proactive and organised HR Advisor to join their close-knit HR team. Supporting around 500 employees, the successful HR Advisor will be responsible for providing full generalist HR Support to the business. You will have a proven track record as a HR Advisor, HR Officer or HR Generalist within ideally the logistics or distribution sector, ideally having worked in a high volume, busy and rapidly changing environment. This role is a full time, permanent role which will be 3 days on site, 2 days a week working from home.

Day to day duties may include:

  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary, grievance, and absence management.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and probation reviews through to exits, ensuring consistent and fair application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Advise on employment law and HR best practice, ensuring organisational compliance with current legislation and internal policies.
  • Partner with managers to support workforce planning, organisational change, restructures, and consultations where required.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of HR policies, processes, and initiatives to improve employee engagement and performance.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and produce management information and reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

The successful HR Advisor will be ideally CIPD Level 5 qualified (or similar) and have a track record as a HR Advisor within a similar sized organisation. You will be confident, knowledgeable, driven and have strong communications skills. There is lots of scope for further projects within this role someone who has supported with restructures, TUPE's and redundancies would be preferable but not essential.
