HR Advisor | Birmingham Business Park | £40,000 + benefits | Hybrid- 1 day a week in the office
A leading business based by Birmingham International Airport are seeking a seasoned HR Advisor to provide full end to end HR generalist support to their rapidly growing business on a full time basis. Working one day a week from their stunning office and 4 days from home, the successful candidate will be key to providing full Advisory support to a large business with the support of a truly inspirational team around them. You must ideally be CIPD Level 5 qualified (or similar) and have experience from within a HR Advisor role where you will have managed a large and complex Employee Relations case load.
Day to day duties may include
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Advise on employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievances
- Support recruitment and selection processes (e.g., drafting job descriptions, shortlisting, interviewing)
- Assist in onboarding and induction of new employees
- Ensure compliance with employment law and organisational policies
- Maintain and update employee records and HR systems
- Support workforce planning and organisational change initiatives
- Coordinate and advise on training and development programs
- Monitor and report on HR metrics (e.g., absence, turnover, engagement)
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement
- Provide support during restructures, redundancies, or TUPE transfers
The successful HR Advisor will have a strong HR Advisory background, ideally having worked in a multi-site environment that is going through growth and a transformation period. You will have a passion for people and providing fair and honest support in a compassionate but efficient way. You will have first class communication skills and have strong employment law knowledge.
