HR Advisor | Education Sector | 12 months FTC | Leeds City Centre | £41,000 to £47,000 DOE + Benefits
A leading educational establishment based in central Leeds are seeking a forward thinking, confident and detail oriented HR Advisor to support them on an initial 12 months FTC basis (Hybrid working). Supporting a the HR managers and the wider HR team with all round HR generalist support, the successful candidate will have a proven track record as a HR Advisor or HR Officer, ideally from within the education or similar sector alongside ideally your CIPD Level 7 qualification.
As a HR Advisor/Officer you will play an important role in supporting managers and staff across a wide range of people-related matters. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing guidance and coaching to managers on complex employee relations matters, including absence management, performance management, probation reviews, disciplinary processes, and grievance cases.
- Offering clear advice and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and terms and conditions of employment.
- Designing and delivering HR workshops and training sessions to support managers and teams.
- Managing key HR processes such as fixed-term contract consultations, promotions, and reward and recognition initiatives.
- Working closely with HR Managers and the wider HR team to provide day-to-day HR support across the organisation.
- Collaborating with colleagues to identify, develop, and implement HR initiatives and projects that improve the overall HR service and employee experience.
These responsibilities outline the core focus of the role. However, the successful candidate may also be required to undertake other reasonable duties consistent with the level of the post.
You will have a strong HR Advisory background with a heavy focus on Employee Relations with the candidate having experience of supporting with high volumes and complex ER cases autonomously. You will ideally have worked within the education or public sector (or similar) though this is not essential. You must be a calm, articulate and detail oriented individual who can hit the ground running.
