This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company based in Birmingham, West Midlands, as Head of Group Reporting. The company operates in a complex, multi-entity environment and is seeking a technically strong chartered accountant (ACA / CA) to take ownership of its group reporting processes.
As the Head of Group Reporting, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting, both internally and externally. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, lead a talented team, and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee the group consolidation process and produce monthly management and quarterly statutory accounts.
- Ensure compliance with FRS102 and take ownership of statutory accounts.
- Publish weekly flash results and prepare reports for the Audit Committee.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and lead a team of three to four accountants.
- Drive process improvements and oversee the adoption of a newly implemented consolidation tool.
Experience required:
- Fully qualified accountant with a track record within a large company reporting role, ideally with Big 4 experience.
- Hands-on expertise with consolidation tools and a strong understanding of FRS102.
- Proven experience in a group reporting role or as an auditor for complex groups.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, and a proactive mindset.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage a high-performing team.
