An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of FP&A to join a dynamic and forward-thinking company based in Birmingham. Our client is a market leading services provider with ambitious plans for further growth in the coming years. The Head of FP&A will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of the organisation, working closely with senior management and stakeholders to deliver value-added analysis and insights.
The Head of FP&A will be responsible for a team, managing all financial reporting submissions, and developing forward-looking analytics that support the company's strategic initiatives. This role offers the chance to work in a high-profile environment, directly reporting to the CFO and engaging with the CEO regularly.
Responsibilities include:
- Leadership of the FP&A function, overseeing the strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles.
- Preparation of monthly and weekly performance reporting packs for the Senior Management Team.
- Development of leading indicators and forward-looking analytics to drive strategic initiatives.
- Collaboration with stakeholders to foster strong working relationships and enhance business partnering.
- Continuous improvement of processes through innovative technology and automation.
Skills and attributes required:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with track record within a similar commercial finance or FP&A role.
- Relevant sector experience within a services business or utilities sector.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical thinker with a thorough understanding of data quality and accuracy.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of simplifying complex information for diverse audiences.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in business performance management systems.
What's on offer:
£90,000 - £100,000 + benefits to include car allowance and bonus
This is a hybrid position, with 3 days p/week spent at the offices in Birmingham.
