About the Role
We are seeking a talented Group Financial Reporting Accountant to join our client's high-performing finance team. This is a key role responsible for delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting across the Group. You'll take the lead on statutory reporting, support the monthly close process, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP).
This position is fully remote with access to the West Midlands offices, offering the flexibility to work from home while staying connected to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
As Group Financial Reporting Accountant you will be responsible for:
Prepare high-quality Group statutory accounts in accordance with IFRS/UK GAAP
Lead consolidations for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
Drive improvements in financial reporting, processes and controls
Support audit planning and coordination with external auditors
Ensure compliance with financial governance, policies and regulatory requirements
Provide technical accounting guidance to the wider finance team
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
Support ad-hoc projects including system enhancements, acquisitions and integration work
About You
The successful candidate for this Group Financial Reporting Accountant will have the following:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - Big 4 / Top 10 trained desirable
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and consolidation accounting
Experience preparing statutory accounts at group or multi-entity level
Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
Proactive, organised, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
Degree in accountancy, business or economics.
