Group Finance Manager
Location: Erdington, Birmingham (Full Time Office-Based)
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Benefits
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

The Opportunity
As Group Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the monthly reporting cycle across multiple entities while providing leadership and support to transactional finance teams. You'll be joining a business that values initiative, encourages fresh ideas, and empowers people to challenge existing processes and drive continuous improvement.
This role would suit a finance professional who combines strong technical accounting skills with the confidence and credibility to lead people, influence stakeholders, and improve ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple entities
- Produce meaningful variance analysis and management commentary
- Manage month-end processes including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
- Oversee debtor and creditor reporting, working closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams
- Provide leadership, support and development to the transactional finance team
- Support the annual audit process and year-end requirements
- Manage stock-related reporting
- Produce ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support business decision-making
- Develop financial reporting capabilities and improve the use of finance data across the business
- Drive process improvements, challenge existing practices, and identify efficiencies
- Play a key role in ongoing systems and ERP development projects
About You
We're looking for an experienced finance professional who enjoys operating in a fast-paced environment and can balance technical excellence with strong people leadership.
You will ideally have:
- CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualification, or be qualified by experience
- Previous experience producing monthly management accounts within a multi-site environment
- Strong systems knowledge, ideally including ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets
- Experience managing or supervising finance teams
- The confidence to challenge, influence and improve existing processes
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility across the business
- A proactive, resilient and adaptable approach
