Cash Transactions Manager - Interim - Hybrid

Role Purpose

The Cash Transactions Manager will be responsible for managing and optimising cash, liquidity and working capital across the Group's multiple entities.

The role will provide accurate cash visibility and forecasting while driving improvements in cash conversion through effective management of Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP) and Work in Progress (WIP).

The role will work closely with Finance, Operations and senior stakeholders to improve cash performance, strengthen treasury controls and deliver process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Group-wide cash management, including daily and weekly cash positioning across entities, banks and currencies.
  • Develop and maintain rolling 13-week cash flow forecasts, identifying liquidity risks and funding requirements.
  • Monitor and improve working capital performance, including debtor days, creditor days and WIP.
  • Lead initiatives to accelerate cash collection, reduce overdue debt and improve billing discipline.
  • Oversee and manage the Group's AR and AP teams, including KPIs, performance and workload.
  • Manage bank accounts, mandates, payment controls, banking platforms and treasury governance.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise cash pooling, intercompany funding and banking structures.
  • Provide clear reporting to senior leadership on cash, liquidity, working capital and forecast performance.
  • Lead cash governance meetings and embed cash-focused decision-making across the Group.
  • Deliver process improvement, automation and AI-driven initiatives within Cash and Treasury.
  • Support the financial and banking integration of acquisitions.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in cash management, treasury, financial control or working capital within a Group/multi-entity environment.
  • Strong understanding of cash forecasting, liquidity and working capital optimisation.
  • Experience managing banking arrangements, payment controls and treasury processes.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Experience with ERP/treasury systems and AI-driven solutions is desirable.
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to drive measurable improvements in cash and working capital performance.
