Gleeson Recruitment Group are exclusively recruiting for a technically strong FP&A Data Manager in south Birmingham to lead the transformation of our client's financial data landscape. This role is critical in unifying reporting across all entities, improving data quality, and supporting long-term business continuity.
You'll work closely with senior finance leadership, including our CFO and newly promoted Finance Director, and external consultants. You will also have a strong working relationship with the CIO. This is a high-impact role with long-term potential to evolve into a strategic business partner.
Key Responsibilities
As Financial Planning and Analysis Data Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Lead data extraction and consolidation across multiple platforms.
- Develop unified reporting frameworks across all entities, including gross margin reporting by division.
- Improve data quality and consistency across varied business models and verticals.
- Support financial modelling and scenario analysis for exit planning.
- Collaborate with external consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure data readiness.
- Build scalable solutions for ongoing reporting and analytics.
Key Requirements
To be successful as Financial Planning and Analysis Data Manager, you will have:
- Strong finance background with a deep understanding of data quality and financial reporting.
- Proven experience in data-heavy environments.
- Technical proficiency in SQL, coding, and data manipulation tools.
- Experience with financial modelling and business partnering.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Previous exit experience is a plus but not essential.
- Degree in accountancy, economics, business or related field.
