A leading international manufacturing company, headquartered in Birmingham, is seeking a high calibre Financial Controller to join its UK operation.
This is an outstanding opportunity to lead a high-performing finance team and shape the future of financial transformation within the business.
This pivotal role reports directly to the Finance Director, offering the opportunity to drive strategic planning, financial control, and compliance across a fast-growing business.
You'll work closely with commercial finance leaders and senior stakeholders to ensure finance is at the heart of decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and develop a best-in-class financial accounting and controlling team.
- Own strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Deliver insightful financial analysis to support leadership decisions.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting under FRS101 and IFRS standards.
- Champion internal controls and compliance.
- Drive a cost-conscious culture and influence spend decisions using data.
- Lead finance transformation initiatives and automation projects.
- Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders.
Skills and experience required:
- Degree-qualified with a recognised accountancy qualification (CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Prior training with a top-tier accountancy firm is highly desirable.
- A genuine passion for leading and developing teams.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, and reporting standards.
- Proven experience in finance project management and transformation.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
Package on offer:
£90,000 - £110,000 + car allowance, bonus, pension and healthcare.
Birmingham location. Hybrid working pattern.
