Financial Accountant - Hybrid | Up to £45,000

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid - 2 days office / 3 days remote)
Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer

Lead the Finance Function Under the CFO - Make an Impact!
Are you ready to take ownership of the numbers and play a key role in shaping financial strategy? We're looking for a Financial Accountant who thrives on responsibility and wants to be at the heart of a growing business. This is your chance to lead core finance operations under the guidance of the CFO, with real influence and visibility.

What You'll Do:

• Own the P&L and ensure accuracy up to trial balance.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable end-to-end.
• Take charge of cash management, including bank reconciliations and cashflow reporting.
• Deliver monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Drive process improvements for AP and AR to boost efficiency and compliance.
• Oversee stock take and reconcile book stock to physical counts.
• Lead the month-end close process and support external audits.
• Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations and reporting standards.

What We're Looking For:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Solid understanding of UK accounting standards and financial regulations.
• A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge and improve processes.
