We're partnering with a well-established, globally expanding business headquartered in Edgbaston, who are looking to bring in a Financial Accountant. This is a key hire, offering you the chance to take ownership of month-end, statutory accounts, and reporting, while being a part of a friendly and ambitious finance team. The company offers a hybrid setup (3 days in the office), a salary of up to £60,000 + bonus, and excellent progression opportunities as they continue to scale internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the reporting for and supporting with preparing monthly board packs, including financial commentary and analysis
- Producing annual statutory accounts in accordance with relevant reporting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP)
- Working closely with external auditors during year-end
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Supporting payroll administration in coordination with the external payroll provider
- Managing and reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Reviewing and improving internal controls and processes
- Collaborating with teams across the UK and international locations
- Supporting ad hoc finance projects as the business continues its growth journey
Candidate Experience, Qualifications and Skills:
- Fully qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
- Ideally practice trained with strong experience in financial reporting and audit
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
- Confident Excel skills and familiarity with modern accounting systems
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and team spirit
