Financial Accountant (Part-Qualified) - Audit Background

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Financial Accountant to support our Finance team during a period of continued growth. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of key month-end processes, support statutory reporting, and help ensure financial compliance across the group.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid grounding in audit, who is part-qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA), and ready to make the move into industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with month-end close, including journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of statutory accounts and liaison with external auditors
  • Maintain strong internal controls and help streamline existing processes
  • Provide financial analysis to support business decision-making
  • Assist in the preparation of tax and regulatory filings
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT Returns
  • Work collaboratively with the wider finance team to drive continuous improvement

About You:

  • Part-qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA (actively studying)
  • 1-3 years of experience in audit (practice background essential)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Excellent Excel skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills - able to work across teams and present financial data clearly
  • Motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
