Job Purpose

The Finance Procurement Analyst supports the procurement and finance functions by analysing spend, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities. The role focuses on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, contract compliance, and data-driven insights to optimise procurement decisions and improve financial efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Financial Analysis

  • Analyse procurement spend, pricing trends, and cost drivers to identify savings opportunities

  • Prepare financial models, forecasts, and variance analyses related to procurement activities

  • Monitor budget adherence and support cost-control initiatives

  • Track purchase orders, invoices, and accruals to ensure financial accuracy

Supplier & Contract Management

  • Evaluate supplier performance using KPIs such as cost, quality, delivery, and compliance

  • Support contract reviews to ensure pricing, terms, and financial obligations are met

  • Assist in supplier negotiations with financial insights and cost analysis

Reporting & Data Management

  • Develop and maintain procurement and finance dashboards and reports

  • Ensure data accuracy across procurement, finance, and ERP systems

  • Provide regular reporting to senior management on spend, savings, and risks

Process Improvement & Controls

  • Identify inefficiencies in procurement and finance processes and recommend improvements

  • Support internal controls, audits, and compliance with company policies

  • Assist in the implementation of procurement and finance systems or tools

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Operations, and Legal teams

  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives and business cases

  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis as required


Key Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Strong financial analysis and data interpretation skills

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, financial models)

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)

  • Knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing, and contract management

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL) is an advantage
