Finance Graduate Opportunity - Must be a driver - Immediate start!
If you're a recent finance graduate looking for that crucial first step into the world of accounting, this opportunity couldn't have come at a better time. This healthcare organisation is known for giving people their first break in finance, and thanks to someone in the team securing a new graduate role elsewhere, they're now looking for a fresh graduate to take over. It's a genuinely brilliant chance to get hands-on exposure, build experience quickly, and learn directly from someone currently in the role before they leave.
Day to day, this role blends accounts assistant duties with internal audit-style work. You'll be travelling across different sites in the West Midlands, reviewing financial activity, conducting reconciliations, checking expenses, assessing transactions, and ensuring everything matches what's on the system. Every site has different people, different bank accounts, and different customers - so your job is to review, compare, question, spot inconsistencies, and ensure everything is accurate, compliant, and legitimate. It's perfect for graduates who are immediately available and looking to get their foot in the door.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reconciliations across multiple bank accounts for different sites.
- Review expenses, transactions, and financial activity for accuracy and legitimacy.
- Ensure transactions match the company's systems and highlight discrepancies.
- Visit different sites across the West Midlands to complete audit-style checks.
- Assess expense claims for compliance (spotting errors, misunderstandings, or potential fraud).
- Review customer spending within each site and ensure documentation is correct.
- Maintain accurate Excel spreadsheets and reports to support findings.
- Work closely with on-site staff to gather information and support improvements.
Candidate Attributes and Skills:
- A recent finance graduate eager to gain hands-on experience.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent reconciliation skills.
- Confident working in Excel (comfortable with formulas, data review, and spreadsheet accuracy).
- A team player with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Must be a driver with access to a car and based within the West Midlands.
- Immediately available or available within one week.
Benefits:
- All travel, food, and overnight stays fully expensed.
- Full training provided - perfect for someone stepping into their first finance role.
- A great project for your CV to help you stand out in the graduate job market.
- Opportunity to extend beyond three months depending on business needs.
If you're looking for that first finance role that gives you real responsibility, genuine learning, and something meaningful to shout about on your CV, this is an amazing place to start. Let's get your career moving!
