We are partnering with a market-leading, specialist manufacturer based in the north Midlands region, to recruit a Finance Director. The Role
As Finance Director, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team and a strategic partner to the Managing Director. Your remit will go beyond finance, influencing business decisions and driving operational excellence. You will lead the finance function, oversee IT systems (including ERP implementation), and play a pivotal role in shaping the company's future.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver financial strategies aligned with growth and profitability objectives.
- Provide accurate, timely financial reporting to group stakeholders and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drive process improvements and champion best practices across finance and IT systems.
- Offer strategic input on business modelling, acquisitions, investments, and site development.
- Oversee audits, stock accuracy, and risk management frameworks.
About You
We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with proven finance leadership experience in the manufacturing or engineering sectors.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong commercial acumen and expertise in managing full P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow responsibilities.
A successful track record in driving process improvements and implementing ERP systems, preferably with SAP, will be highly advantageous.
Exceptional communication and influencing skills, combined with a results-driven approach and a continuous improvement mindset, are essential.
While previous experience as a Finance Director is desirable, we also welcome applications from senior finance professionals who are ready to take the next step in their career.
