You'll join a collaborative finance team and work closely with experienced professionals who'll help you develop your technical skills and confidence. It's a varied role that gives you exposure to everything from invoice processing and reconciliations to managing supplier and customer relationships - ideal for someone who wants to progress within finance and grow into an Assistant Accountant or similar role over time.
What you'll be doing:
- Processing purchase invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and ensuring accurate financial records.
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and maintaining key balance sheet schedules.
- Supporting the management of customer accounts, including chasing outstanding payments and resolving queries.
- Preparing and maintaining financial data for month-end and reporting purposes.
- Building strong working relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal colleagues.
- Supporting the wider finance function with ad-hoc reporting and project work.
- Getting involved in system and process improvements as you grow in the role.
Who we're looking for:
- Someone with previous finance or accounting experience (around 12+ months) OR strong administrative experience with a clear desire to move into finance.
- Confident working with numbers and spreadsheets (Excel skills are essential).
- Proactive, organised, and eager to learn new systems and processes.
- A great communicator who enjoys being part of a supportive team.
- Keen to build a long-term career in finance, with an appetite to take on more responsibility over time.
