A creative design firm based in Sutton Coldfield is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their close-knit team as they continue to grow. This is a newly created role, designed to support the Finance Manager with day-to-day transactional work and get stuck into the smooth running of the function.
You'll be joining a company with a genuinely supportive culture - small enough that everyone knows your name, but with an exciting pipeline of new work that's keeping things busy. There's a friendly, collaborative feel to the team, and they're keen to bring someone on board who's hands-on and happy to muck in where needed.
You'll be responsible for things like:
- Processing purchase and sales invoices
- Handling supplier payments and reconciling statements
- Supporting with bank reconciliations and posting journals
- Helping with month-end tasks and reporting
- Assisting with budgeting and ad hoc finance support as the role evolves
What they're looking for:
- At least a year's experience in a finance assistant or accounts admin role
- Someone confident with Excel and accounting systems
- An adaptable, proactive approach - someone who's comfortable in a smaller team
- A genuine interest in learning and developing in finance
