ER Advisor | Gloucestershire - on site | Full Time, 12 months FTC | Manufacturing | up to £50,000 per annum
Gleeson Recruitment Group is pleased to be supporting a highly respected global engineering and manufacturing organisation with the appointment of an experienced ER Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded HR professional to join a collaborative site-based HR team, providing trusted advice to managers and supporting a broad range of employee relations activity.
The Role
Working closely with the HR Business Partner, you will provide pragmatic and commercially focused HR advice across the site, with a particular emphasis on employee relations, manager coaching and developing leadership capability.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing advice and guidance to managers across disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and flexible working matters.
- Managing and supporting complex ER cases, including investigations, documentation and advice throughout the process.
- Coaching managers to ensure ER matters are handled consistently, fairly and in line with employment legislation and company policy.
- Using ER data and feedback to identify trends, root causes and opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting the HR Business Partner with manager development, coaching and HR workshops.
- Advising on employee engagement and communications initiatives.
- Contributing to continuous improvement projects across HR processes and practices.
About You
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who is confident operating in a fast-paced, operational environment and has strong hands-on employee relations experience.
You will ideally have:
- At least 3 years' generalist HR experience with strong ER exposure.
- Experience managing a broad range of employee relations cases.
- A solid understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Strong experience coaching and advising managers.
- The ability to balance commercial considerations with appropriate HR and legal guidance.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities.
- A proactive, approachable and collaborative style.
- CIPD Level 5 or above and/or a relevant degree is desirable.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or similarly operational environment would be advantageous.
- Flexibility to support varied shift patterns where required.
