M&A Director - Midlands
A fast‑growing international mid‑market M&A advisory firm is seeking an M&A Director/Partner to drive expansion across the Midlands (and surrounding areas inc Thames Valley, Cambridgeshire, South West). The firm operates with an independent, no‑nonsense approach and supports entrepreneurs throughout the full M&A lifecycle, from exit readiness to transaction execution and investment opportunities.
This is an opportunity to work with multi‑award‑winning advisory teams who have dedicated deal origination, and significant investment in proprietary deal tech and AI, the business continues to scale rapidly.
The Role
You will play a pivotal role in building the firm's Midlands presence. This includes originating new opportunities, leading end‑to‑end transactions, and developing a high‑performing local team. Strong performance will open a clear and accelerated path to Partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate new mandates through an established Midlands network
- Lead the full transaction lifecycle from first contact to closing
- Build, mentor, and manage your own deal team
- Maintain strong relationships with entrepreneurs and key stakeholders
- Contribute to strategic growth initiatives across the UK mid‑market
Profile
- 5+ years' M&A Lead Advisory experience with a strong deal‑closing track record
- Demonstrable business development success and active pipeline
- Well‑established network within the business community
- Strong commercial mindset and passion for supporting entrepreneurs
- High attention to detail and excellent communication skills
