Corporate Development Manager - M&A Industrials

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid - 3/4 days office-based)
Salary: £80,000-£90,000 + bonus

Company Overview

A growing UK industrials business is pursuing an ambitious buy‑and‑build strategy. To support this, the organisation is seeking a Corporate Development Manager to work closely with the Head of Corporate Development in driving acquisitions and delivering strategic growth.

Role Summary

The Corporate Development Manager will play a central role in the identification, evaluation, and execution of acquisitions within the industrials sector. The position encompasses financial modelling, due diligence, deal structuring, and post‑transaction integration, with direct exposure to senior leadership and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial modelling and valuation of potential acquisition targets
  • Manage due diligence processes across internal teams and external advisors
  • Support deal structuring and negotiation, including SPA and offer documentation
  • Drive post‑acquisition integration and delivery of identified synergies
  • Present strategic insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and shareholders
  • Contribute to wider strategic projects alongside the senior leadership team

Candidate Profile

  • ACA‑qualified accountant with a strong academic background
  • Experience at Senior Manager or Junior Associate Director level in Transaction Services or Corporate Finance, or current buy‑side experience in Corporate Development or Private Equity
  • Strong technical knowledge of valuation principles, including DCF, net debt, and working capital
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability, with excellent communication skills
  • Commercially astute, collaborative, and results‑driven
  • Prior deal exposure in the industrials sector is advantageous but not essential
