Job title: Content & Social Media Specialist
Location: Birmingham (Office-based)
Contract: Full-time, Hybrid 1 day WFH, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
Start date: November - December 25
Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum, depending on experience
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and proactive Content & Social Media Specialist to join a fast-growing organisation within the precious metals and e-commerce sector. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for digital storytelling, social media engagement, and brand development. You will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimising engaging content across multiple digital channels, helping to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement within a dynamic, high-performing marketing team.
Key Requirements
- Create, write, and edit engaging content for email, web, blog, and social media platforms.
- Manage and schedule daily social media posts across multiple channels.
- Oversee community engagement and respond to audience interactions in a timely, brand-aligned manner.
- Support the development and implementation of content and social media strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all content is accurate, compliant, and on-brand.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on content and social media performance metrics.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in digital content and social media.
- Contribute to campaign planning and execution alongside senior marketing colleagues.
- Assist with wider team projects and provide support during periods of absence.
- Maintain a consistent brand tone and style across all communication channels.
Candidate Criteria
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-3 years' experience in content creation and/or social media management roles.
- Excellent copywriting, proofreading, and editing skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Confident using social media management tools and content scheduling platforms.
- Basic photography and video editing skills; familiarity with tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite desirable.
- Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and a flair for storytelling.
- Team-oriented individual with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Commercially aware with an understanding of how content drives engagement and results.
- Positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude within a fast-paced working environment.
