Account Executive - Public Sector
Job Role Responsibilities
- 70/30 split between new business development and existing account growth
- Achieve or exceed agreed sales targets set with your manager
- Proactively identify and develop sales opportunities while understanding customer requirements
- Win new business supported by an internal public sector bid team
- Grow and develop an existing account base
- Work closely with pre-sales specialists to present the company's technology solutions and messaging to customers
- Manage relationships across customers, vendors, and distribution partners (developing and maintaining your network)
- Maintain ownership and accountability for your sales pipeline
- Stay informed on the latest technology developments and discuss these with public sector clients
Job Requirements
- The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organised, and hard working, with strong attention to detail. A positive attitude, energy, and willingness to support colleagues are essential.
- Minimum of good GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, with A-Levels beneficial but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Ability to take direction while also demonstrating initiative
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and self-driven mindset
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel beneficial but not essential
- A collaborative team player with a "can-do" attitude
