Gleeson Recruitment Group are delighted to be working in partnership on an exclusive basis with an organisation that is essential to a net-zero energy infrastructure. The organisation in question will deal with everything from electricity and gas to carbon capture and offshore wind networks.

I am supporting the leadership of a newly established CFO function in the recruitment of a Workstream Finance Manager. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of this exciting programme and will support the Finance workstream. This workstream will be responsible for designing, building and implementing the Finance back-office functions of the newly formed organisation and supporting the overall programme finances.

As a key member of the CFO Workstream team, you will work closely with the Finance Lead and Workstream Lead to build the new CFO function team, processes and governance required for the new organisation. This will combine today's Finance and Business Services teams, creating a CFO function to support the organisation to deliver on its net zero ambitions.

Workstream Finance Manager

Key responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Review all As-Is processes across the Finance and Business Services functions and build To-Be processes that are fit for purpose, agile and efficient for the formation of a new organisation and ownership structure
  • Work with existing Finance and Business Services team members to assess issues with the current processes and ensure these are addressed as appropriate in the future process designs.
  • Work with other Programme workstreams to ensure all processes are mapped and documented end to end and any dependencies are fully understood.
  • Assess the current risk and controls environment and make appropriate changes as required for the new organisation.
  • Design a financial governance process that is fit for purpose and in line with the To-Be process design.
  • Work with the business to create a performance framework for the new organisation.
  • Implement the design processes and governance ready for Day 1 of separation.
  • Support with ad-hoc Finance workstream activities as required.
