Gleeson Recruitment Group are looking to appoint an experienced Treasury Manager based in Birmingham City.

Ideally you will have previously managed a team and be looking for your next opportunity


Managing a team of four, the role offers an opportunity to play a key role in supporting the operations. The job holder must have ambition and inspire to deliver a strong customer focused finance function to each of the operations directors, managers and corporate managers.

The role is responsible for the weekly bank reconciliations, update of bank mandates, cash management, client expenses, Online bank system administration, and petty cash reconciliations. It also involves line management of the credit control function in addition to ad-hoc analysis of spend and cash.


Managing the day to day running of the Treasury Department with the assistance of two Treasury Assistants

Line manager to the credit control function with 1 direct report.

Reconciliation and controls surrounding bank and petty cash reconciliations

Development and maintenance of procedures and documentation across the banking, petty cash and client expenditure processes.

Management of bank mandates

System Administrator for the online banking systems

Payment and banking controls management, including petty cash, manual payments and online access updates.

Petty cash ordering and management

Client expenses payments, analysis and reporting

Support to operations for banking/cash queries

Undertake ad-hoc projects and identify process improvements when they arise and plan & provide cover for absences by other finance team members.

Monthly account reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.


  • Experience in team management, adjusting style for experience of team.
  • IT Skills, particularly MS Word, Advanced Excel (Vlookups, PIVOT tables) and Outlook
  • Highly numerate with outstanding interpersonal, communication and managerial skills

· Extremely computer literate with a good working knowledge of Excel and integrated accounts packages


· Ideally would have at least 2 years experience of managing a team


· A degree in finance/management or similar.

· Qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA.

Salary of £40,000 - £45,000 plus benefits
